Book review: 5 Love Languages

TL;DR

I believe this book will improve your life immensely. It’s one of those books where you have to get over your pride of "I don’t need this", and then reap the benefits and wonder why no one told you this before. 😅

This book made it to my all time favorite list: If you want to improve, read these books.

!TL;DR

I haven’t posted a book post in a while, but this one absolutely deserves it.

I just finished The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, and I honestly think it should be required reading for anyone. And, especially for those that are looking to get married. Call me weird, but I’d even suggest this as a hard requirement before the faithful YES.

Why am I so WOWed about it? Well, it’s one of those "simple but powerful" books that can genuinely change how people understand each other. The core idea is incredibly practical: people give and receive love in different ways, and a lot of pain in relationships comes from missing that.

What makes the book so valuable is that it’s immediately actionable. You don’t just read it and nod along. You start noticing things. You start asking better questions. You start showing love in ways that actually land with your partner.

I truly believe this book could save a lot of marriages, relationships, and unnecessary heartbreak.

And no, it’s not only for when you’re already deep in trouble. It’s great for when everything is perfectly fine – and after it, it gets even better.

If you’re given this book, don’t let your pride prevent you from reading it, and unlocking (IMHO) a superpower.

TL;DR: I highly recommend it.

Oh, and btw; just curious – if you read it, did it have the same/similar effect on you or am I just an outlier here?
